Baptism at Saint Barbara Parish

We warmly welcome you and your child/children to St. Barbara Parish! Baptism is the sacrament that signifies our immersion in the Christian life and marks our spiritual rebirth in the Church. Through baptism we receive a new spiritual life, the dignity of adoption as sons and daughters of God and heirs of God’s kingdom.

Infant Baptisms take place on the first Sunday of the month at approximately 12:15 pm (after the 11:00 a.m. Mass).

Who Can Be Baptized At The Mission?

– In order to be a registered parishioner, you must live locally in proximity to the Mission.
– Registration must be done in person in the Parish office.

° Once registered, you will receive a welcome letter in the mail. Upon receipt of the welcome letter, baptism will be scheduled.

° We do not offer baptisms to non-parishioners.

° If a person requesting baptism was married at the Mission or has other special circumstances, please contact Alex Turcios, Director of Faith Formation at (805)682-4151, ext. 118 or
