ENTERING A THRESHOLD
Peace and all good be yours!
As I hear from many parishioners about the challenges of being in this time of necessary isolation and sheltering in place, I think of the words of Father Larry: “This isn’t the Lent we envisioned, but it is the one we have been given.”
Many thanks to all of you who have been reaching out in new ways to connect, support, and encourage the community with such generous hearts. With the new announcements and guidelines coming from Archbishop Gomez, this support becomes all the more necessary. Public celebration of Mass has been suspended through April 19th. Other directives are outlined in the document. Click here to view the document.
Father Larry and I wanted to share some words with you in response to the new directives. We come to you from the friary to assure you of our continued prayers, as we face into what Father Larry calls this time of entering a “threshold.” Click here to watch the video.
We share with you as well the prayer that Archbishop Gomez has offered for us to pray as a community http://www.usccb.org/news/2020/20-44.cfm.
In the Spirit of solidarity and trust, let us be at peace as the road opens ahead toward the fullness of God’s goodness!
Fr. Dan ofm, Pastor
P.S. If you receive any text messages that appear to be from me and are asking for money, please disregard. It’s a SCAM that one of our parishioners received.
