Situated in the heart of the Santa Barbara Riviera, the Mission grounds offer the perfect setting for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, board meetings, corporate events, social celebrations, and more. Choose from four versatile event spaces below to fit your specific needs.

Old Mission Santa Barbara is the cultural and historic landmark in the city of Santa Barbara. Proceeds from private events support the museum, preservation efforts, and educational programs at the Mission.

Serra Hall

Description:
This grand and historic facility can accommodate up to 350 people with many different styles of seating and table arrangements available.

Ambience:
Designed by church architect Ross Montgomery in 1929, Serra Hall is a spacious and elegant setting for wedding receptions, bridal or baby showers, holiday parties, private or corporate social events, large party meetings, or funeral receptions.

Capacity and Amenities:
Seats 150-350 (2,213 sq. ft.)
Arrangement capability: Cocktail, Theater, Banquet, Classroom, U-Shape, Hollow square, Reception with dance floor.
Equipped with a variety of tables, chairs, and other service equipment, including buffet accessories.
Stage available for band and DJ setups.
On-street parking is available for guests and there is a small service entry for event vendors.

Limitations:
All performances must adhere to local noise ordinances.

Friars Lounge

Description:
This Spanish-style event room with beautiful tile flooring allows for multiple set-up options. It’s perfect for meetings, retreats, formal and informal receptions, lunches, BBQs, and private or corporate dinners.

Ambience:
The Friars Lounge is situated in the heart of the Old Mission, adjacent to a beautiful courtyard.

Capacity and Amenities:
Seats 100 (1,938 sq. ft.)
Catering and fully contained food trucks are allowed. Kitchen facilities are not available.

St. Francis Courtyard

Description:
Our beautiful courtyard can be rented separately or in combination with our other rental spaces.

Ambience:
Quiet and secluded garden setting.

Capacity and Amenities:
Internet access and off-street parking are available.

Limitations:
No smoking, balloons, confetti, or open flame.

Bonaventure Hall

Description:
A moderately-sized auditorium for meetings, lectures, and presentations.

Ambience:
Ideal for conferences, meetings, or teaching in a classroom setting. Tables
and chairs are available.

Capacity and Amenities:
Seats 100 (1,824 sq. ft.)
Wireless Internet capabilities.
Equipped with a refrigerator and a counter with a sink.

Audio-Visual Capabilities:
Projector, screen, podium, and audio system.
